Physical Properties of High-Temperature Melts

Mould fluxes, which are added during the continuous casting process of steel, has a great effect on the quality of the steel. Therefore, it is very important to control physical and thermodynamic properties of the flux by designing their compositions. In this study, structural factors of fluxes dominating the thermal conductivity are studied by the analysis of the structures and by the measurements of the thermal conductivity of the fluxes with various compositions.
